Privacy Policy

Warpstrength is a free site with no payments — but it does have an optional account system for setting a goal and sharing progress. This page explains what's collected, by whom, and why.

What We Collect

  • Account & progress data (optional): If you create an account (email only, no password — you log in via a one-time link emailed to you), Warpstrength stores that email address, a display name and profile slug you can change any time, an optional location, height, weight, sex, and profile photo, and any goals you set with the progress values/notes you log against them (optionally with a photo attached to an update, and each update can be deleted any time from the same page you logged it). If you comment on someone else's progress photo, that comment text and the fact that you posted it are stored too — visible on that photo wherever it's shown publicly, and deletable any time by you, the comment's author, from the same page. Uploaded photos are stored as image files on Warpstrength's own server; everything else is in Warpstrength's own database — none of it goes to a third party.
  • Transactional email (Resend): Login links are sent via Resend, a transactional email provider, strictly to deliver that one email. See Resend's privacy policy.
  • Analytics (Hotjar): Hotjar may record aggregate on-site behaviour (pages visited, clicks, scrolling) to help understand how the site is used. This can include your IP address, device/browser type, and general location, and may use cookies. It's governed by Hotjar's own privacy policy.
  • Analytics (Simple Analytics): A privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool that reports aggregated site usage (page views, referrers) without identifying individual visitors. See Simple Analytics' privacy policy.
  • Local storage (Biohacking Protocol): The checklist on /biohacking-protocol saves your checked items in your own browser's local storage. This stays on your device — it's never sent to or stored on Warpstrength's servers.
  • Everything else: There are no passwords, newsletters, or payments anywhere on this site, and browsing the guides never requires an account.

Public Visibility

Accounts are public by default — your display name, chosen goals, and progress updates are visible on your public profile page, since that's the point of the feature. Any comment you leave on someone else's photo is visible there and on the public feed for as long as that photo exists or until you delete the comment yourself — even if your own profile is private. You can turn public visibility off entirely (and your profile page stops resolving) from Settings once logged in, or delete your account and all its data outright from the same page.

Cookies

Hotjar may set cookies to support its analytics; Simple Analytics is cookieless by design and doesn't. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser extension/Do Not Track setting — the site works the same either way, since no functionality depends on tracking.

How We Use This Data

Analytics data is used solely to understand which content is useful and improve the site. Your email address is used only to send you a login link — never for marketing, and never sold. Account/progress data (goals, progress logs, photo comments) is used only to run the features you're using it for: showing your own dashboard, and — if your profile is public — your profile page and the feed.

Data Sharing

The only third parties involved are the analytics providers named above (Hotjar, Simple Analytics) and Resend, the email provider used solely to deliver login links. Data isn't sold or shared with anyone else. Your goal/progress data is stored in Warpstrength's own database on its own server — it isn't passed to any third party at all.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have rights over personal data processed about you. If you have an account, you can access and correct your display name, and delete your account and all associated data entirely, any time from Settings once logged in — no request needed. For analytics data (Hotjar), requests are best made directly through Hotjar's own privacy tools. You're also welcome to contact Warpstrength via the social channels listed in the Terms and Conditions with any question.

Children's Privacy

This site isn't directed at children under 16, and Warpstrength doesn't knowingly collect data from children.
